Probably all of you think, how much links to put on webpages of your website so that Google has not buried you in a sand or still somehow gave you a ban.
According to Matt Cutts, Google at all does not punish websites for such parameter as the quantity of links on a webpage, but nevertheless recommends to adhere to a limit «no more than 100 links».
Unexpected enough statement for me, but also it is make sense. Many of you for certain have seen a webpage-catalogue of manuals on any subjects (especially popularly on CMS). Such webpages, despite on a large quantity of links, have a huge amount of the traffic from search engines and their creation is a quite good a way of promotion. It is original linkbaiting method.
But you won’t pump up PageRank on such webpage, it’s very hard.
